Brian Del Signore is the Principal Percussionist and Associate Principal Timpanist of Houston Symphony. He joined Houston Symphony in 1986.

Born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Brian Del Signore earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 1981. Mr. Del Signore also earned a Masters in Music from Temple University in Philadelphia, where he studied with Philadelphia Orchestra’s Alan Abel.

Mr. Del Signore performs continually in Houston, and has toured Europe and Japan with the Houston Symphony, as well as with the Houston Symphony Chamber Players. He has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony, and toured Europe with the Pittsburgh Symphony in 2003. Mr. Del Signore has recorded for RCA-BMG Classics, Virgin Classics, Koch International, and Telarc records.

In addition to his duties with the Houston Symphony, Mr. Del Signore teaches select graduate percussion students at the University of Houston, as well as an orchestra repertoire class for percussion.
