Percussion Ensemble Showcase 2010 Entry Details
Literature Requirements
Percussion Ensemble piece with 6 - 12 performers.
Performance length no more than 12 minutes.
Entry Requirements
Participants must be a High School percussion ensemble.

Only one entry per school is eligible.

Participants must submit an entry packet including:

- Completed Showcase Entry Form (Download HERE)
- 3 copies of performance score.
- 3 copies of video performance on DVD.
- $20.00 entry fee.

Video performance date must be between October 2009 and February 2010. The video does not have to be a public or concert performance, simply an unedited video recording of the piece performed by the participants.

Ensemble director must be a fan of BSP on Facebook, linked HERE.

Entry Deadline Extended
All participant entry packets must be received by 3/1/10 for eligibility. Entry packets will not be returned.

press release and BSP Facebook & Twitter pages.

Dan is director of percussion at McKendree University, coordinates the Midwest Percussion Camp, and is active as a performer and clinician. Chris is assistant professor in percussion at the University of North Texas, an active educator and clinician, as well as an established composer for percussion.
Adjudication
Judging Scale
An adjudication grading system similar to Rubric Evaluation will be used.  The specific form is linked HERE for your reference.  Completed adjudication forms will be mailed to all participants after results are calculated and announced on 3/22/10.
Fan Favorite
After the entry deadline, participant videos will be posted on the BSP YouTube channel for general public viewing.
A poll will be created on the BSP Facebook page, where viewers can become a fan and vote for their favorite participating ensemble. The nominated "Fan Favorite" ensemble will have three additional points included in their overall score.
