Tools for the Modern Percussionist:
Percussion Instrument Accessories
Black Swamp offers a wide range of percussion accessories, all designed with ease of use and efficient space savings in mind. If there’s one problem percussionists face - it’s having too many instruments to play.
RecPlate Mounting System
This versatile mounting system was developed in response to the new sounds and literature making its way into the percussionist's repertoire, which might require a more complex and flexible setup. The plate features numerous hooks, slots and notches to accommodate a variety of free-floating auxiliary instruments, beaters, mallets, bows, or anything else you can dream up.
MultiLegs
Inspired by our landmark MultiBass, use the BSP MultiLegs in your studio or performance hall when you have to mount a bass drum seamlessly into a multi-percussion setup.
MultiLegs are lightweight, compact, and attach securely to any size drum with wood hoops. The telescoping function is also a great feature for students or percussionists who need to use the same instrument at different heights.
Pro Castanet Mounting Frame
Convert your BSP castanets into "machine" style castanets. Our castanet frame is constructed from powder coated aluminum with no pesky knobs to twist and turn. Simply slide the handles into two sets of mounting holes with custom made rubber gaskets and start playing. A universal mounting hole, and rubber isolators along the bottom edges, add versatility and functionality–a Black Swamp specialty!
Wooden Drum Dampener
Our more sustainable drum dampener is constructed from lumber cut offs collected during our Unibody solid shell manufacturing, and fully repurposed into a beautiful new percussion accessory item.
These dampeners remove unwanted overtones from your drums by simply placing it on the batter head. A handy nylon string makes it easy to tie to a lug for easy access.
The RecPlate changed my touring life more than almost anything else in my travel rig. They allow me to put all of my favorite sounds in my setups conveniently and without huge racks or bulky stands. They are a simple, elegant, and a revelation! No modern percussionist should be without at least one!
